9x12 Queen Anne's Lace No.1
Safety | Sanctuary | Happy Home
Queen Anne’s lace is named after Queen Anne of Denmark. It is said that she was challenged to create lace as beautiful as a flower, and while doing so, she pricked her finger and left a drop of blood in the centre of the lace which is why the flower has a red centre.
The flower is also sometimes referred to as “bishop’s flower,” and so it symbolizes safety, sanctuary, and refuge. Although another interpretation is due to the flower’s resemblance to a bird’s nest when it goes to seed—it then becomes the perfect symbol of the sanctuary of a happy home.
