I like you | Rebirth | Fertility | Regeneration

In Celtic culture, apple flowers and fruits represent motherhood and maternal instinct. Bedchambers were decorated with apple blossoms as a fertility gesture and tribute to the beauty and bounty life provides.

In Victorian times, giving an apple blossom communicated your preference for the receiver. In other words it was a way to say, ‘I like you.’

Apple blossoms also represent life continuing after death, as the tree returns to life after the winter months. It stands for the concept of life continuing, even after we endure a 'death' during the winter of our lives.
