Motherhood | Hope | New Beginnings | April birth flower | 5th wedding anniversary
The name Daisy comes from the Old English term that translates to ‘day’s eye’ because daisies open up in the morning to take in the sun from the day and then close up at night. They show us that with each day, we have a chance to start afresh.
They ultimately represent the possibility that we all have the opportunity to begin again, no matter what has happened in our past.
In Norse mythology, the daisy was considered Freya's sacred flower, the goddess of love and fertility, and was associated with childbirth and motherhood, making it an excellent gift for new parents.
