Beech Tree Art Print
Beech is linked with time, wisdom and knowledge. Beech trees were used to make writing tablets, and thin slices of Beech wood were bound together to make the first book. It is the sum of the wisdom of all the other trees. The ancient druids believed the beech tree had magical powers; whatever words were inscribed into beech bark took on the power of the gods. Writing a wish on a bit of beech and then burying it was part of giving back to the earth and making the wish manifest in real life, if it was meant to be.
Beech is thought of as The Mother of the Woods. Beech is also known as the Beech Queen who’s consort is the Oak King.
